Looking Back On 2017 And Forward To 2018

Updated: Jun 1, 2019

As I make my list of goals for 2018 I must first reflect on 2017. Phoenix Rising went through many challenges this past year. Two relocations made things frustrating. However, the second time was the charm. In September Phoenix RIsing joined Dr. JP Yurgel at the Hands of Hope Chiropractic and Wellness Center. The transition was warm and welcoming. I am very thankful to have like minded colleagues with the same goals of helping our patients heal their mind, body, and soul. Dr. JP, myself, and our resident life coach Portia Bennet have enjoyed getting to know each and have participated in community health fairs and local small business events. I am truly happy as a practitioner at Hands of Hope.

2017 Brought forth more speaking engagements. The Fredericksburg Area Vegetarian Society had me back a second time to speak about Salads in a Jar. Healthy meals in mason jars for on the go. The Salem Church Branch Library invited as a presenter at their annual health fair. I will be be speaking there in January on building and maintaining a healthy immune system.

After many months of frustration I met a wonderful website manager, Deborah Newman owner of Petite Taway Web Design. Deborah created a beautiful website for Phoenix Rising with every feature I needed to run my practice more smoothly and efficiently. Online appointment scheduler, built in blog , and much more. I am so grateful for Deborah. Lastly, but most importantly I am grateful for my patients, and subscribers for their support and referrals. Phoenix Rising had great growth because you. For this I immeasurably thankful.

Looking ahead to 2018. I am happy to announce that the Phoenix Rising Holistic Women's Circle was successfully launched in December. Our first support group class Overcoming Stress and Emotional Eating Session II is now open for registration. This women's circle is close to my heart and has finally come to fruition. In 2018 more classes and workshops catered to women healing themselves will be available. 2018 will also see the beginning of Phoenix Rising's Holistic Online Healing Community. This will be available by subscription and will cover all things holistic living. Topics will include but not be limited to : organic gardening, herbal medicine, homeopathy, essential oils, nutrition, stress reduction, and food demos, just to name a few. I look forward to seeing you all in the online community.

HAPPY HOLISTIC 2018 !
